Job Title: Maintenance Technician Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports To: Chief Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor / Hotel Manager Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Location: Comfort Inn Atlanta - Atlanta, GA ________________________________________ Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, upkeep, and preventive maintenance of the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and systems. This role ensures that all hotel facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with hotel standards and local codes. The ideal candidate is skilled in general maintenance, troubleshooting, and has a strong attention to detail.
________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. • Conduct daily inspections of hotel facilities and systems to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. • Respond promptly to guest room or public area service calls and resolve issues efficiently. • Complete preventive maintenance on equipment, guest rooms, and building systems according to schedule. • Maintain records of work completed, parts used, and time spent using maintenance management systems. • Assist with projects such as renovations, installations, and seasonal maintenance. • Monitor and maintain supply inventory; report shortages to supervisor. • Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are clean, safe, and in good condition. • Follow safety procedures and hotel policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Coordinate with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to minimize guest disruption. • Respond to emergencies such as power outages, water leaks, and fire alarms, following proper protocols. ________________________________________ Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • 1-3 years of experience in hotel, residential, or commercial maintenance preferred. • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance. • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks throughout shift. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: • Certification or training in a skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus. • Familiarity with hotel maintenance systems and software. ________________________________________ What We Offer: • Competitive pay based on experience • Health and wellness benefits (if applicable)• Paid time off and holiday pay • Opportunities for advancement and training • Employee discounts on hotel stays and services Maintenance Technician Position - Apply Today!
