Elite Laptop Repair Technician (Tier 3) Temp to Perm   

Youngsville, NC | Full-time, Monday to Friday | Hourly + uncapped bonus

The Role

This is the highest technical tier on our Computer Repair Team. You'll take on the toughest diagnostics and board-level repairs, set the quality bar for the line, and coach the technicians around you. 

The baseline is 22+ complete, quality repairs per day. You'll work mostly on laptops, along with all-in-ones, desktops, tablets, smartphones, servers, and Apple devices. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a 90-day conversion.  

Responsibilities  

At the bench  

• Run full hardware diagnostics to find the root cause of complex or intermittent failures, and order the right parts
• Perform motherboard diagnosis and board-level repair, including micro-soldering, power circuitry, and micro-component replacement
• Replace displays, keyboards, touchpads, palm rests, batteries, hinges, covers, speakers, and ports
• Build and configure high-priority client orders and custom setups 

Across the team  

• Sharing technical knowledge, troubleshooting methods, and repair practices with teammates
• Own configuration standards and quality benchmarks for the repair line
• Track repair yield, spot recurring failure patterns, and recommend process improvements
• Help build repair standards, workflows, and SOPs for the new repair floor
• Advise management on repair vs. as-is resale decisions based on device condition and repair cost
• Keep ERP records, repair notes, and inventory movement accurate 

What You Bring  

• 4+ years of high-production repair experience (or equivalent demonstrated skill), with laptops as your core 
• Ability to complete 22+ quality repairs per day
• Board-level diagnostics and micro-soldering skills
• Strong knowledge of Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Apple models and OEM part numbers
• Experience across Apple and PC ecosystems, including enterprise and custom-configured devices
• Experience training or mentoring other technicians
• Consistent documentation habits and a clean, organized, safe workstation
• A personal repair toolkit or tools will be provided  
• A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge with the team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at a bench for extended periods 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Desktop, server, and smartphone repair experience
• BIOS recovery and BGA reflow
• A+, ACMT, or IPC certifications
